Information You Enter Into the Calculator

The GPA calculator may ask you to enter course names, grades, credits, grading scale details, or similar academic inputs so that it can calculate a GPA.

Unless the Site clearly states otherwise:

• GPA calculations are performed in your browser.
• You do not need to enter personal information to use the basic calculator.
• We do not ask for your name, email address, school, student ID, transcript, account credentials, or official academic records.
• The grades, credits, course names, and GPA inputs you type into the calculators are saved in your own browser's local storage on your device, so you can close the page and pick up where you left off. They are not transmitted to our servers, and we do not collect, sell, or share them.
• You can delete saved calculator entries at any time using a calculator's "Reset calculator" button, or by clearing your browser's site data for calcmygrades.com.
• You should not enter personal, sensitive, confidential, or official academic records into the calculator.

If you voluntarily type personal information into a free-text field, course-name field, browser extension, feedback form, email, or other area not intended for personal information, that information may be processed depending on the feature used. Please do not submit personal information unless the Site specifically asks for it.

CalcMyGrades is not an educational institution, school official, registrar, academic advisor, or provider of official education records. We do not intend to collect education records protected by FERPA or similar laws.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect or process certain technical and usage information, including:

• IP address;
• browser type and version;
• device type and operating system;
• pages viewed and features used;
• referring and exit pages;
• date and time of access;
• approximate location inferred from IP address;
• advertising identifiers, cookie identifiers, or similar online identifiers;
• interactions with ads, affiliate links, or sponsored links;
• diagnostic, performance, error, fraud-prevention, and security logs.

Depending on applicable law, some of this information may be considered personal information, personal data, or personally identifiable information.

At this time, the Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no consistent industry standard for how such signals should be interpreted. Where required by applicable law, we will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as described in Section 10 below.

Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising

The Site may display ads served by Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager, or other third-party advertising networks, exchanges, demand partners, or ad technology providers.

These opt-out tools are provided by third parties. They may depend on cookies or device settings and may not stop all advertising. You may still see ads after opting out, but those ads may be less personalized.

CalcMyGrades may participate in affiliate advertising programs. Some links on the Site may be affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission, referral fee, bounty, or other compensation if you click a link and later sign up for, purchase, or interact with a third-party product or service.

Affiliate partners and networks may use cookies, click IDs, tracking pixels, referral URLs, device identifiers, IP addresses, transaction identifiers, or similar technologies to track referrals and attribute commissions. These third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies.

We aim to identify affiliate or sponsored relationships clearly where required. Our receipt of compensation may influence the placement, availability, or order of certain links, offers, or recommendations, but we do not provide academic, financial, legal, or admissions advice.

Analytics and Site Measurement

The Site may use analytics and measurement tools to understand traffic, page usage, technical performance, referral sources, and user interactions with the Site. Analytics providers may collect information such as IP address, device information, browser information, pages visited, time spent, referring URLs, and event data.

We use analytics information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, maintain, improve, and monetize the Site.

We do not use calculator inputs to make official academic, admissions, financial aid, employment, or legal decisions about you.

How We Disclose Information

We do not sell your GPA inputs or calculator entries.

We may disclose automatically collected information, technical data, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage information, and similar information to the following categories of recipients:

• Hosting, infrastructure, security, content delivery, and technical service providers.
• Analytics and measurement providers.
• Advertising networks, ad exchanges, demand partners, ad technology providers, and advertising measurement providers.
• Affiliate networks, merchants, and referral partners.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the basic GPA calculator. Do not enter Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account information, precise location, health information, school login credentials, official transcripts, or other sensitive information into the calculator.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws to:

• request access to personal information;
• request correction of inaccurate personal information;
• request deletion of personal information;
• request a copy or portability of personal information;
• opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
• limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;
• appeal a privacy-rights decision where required by law;
• not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Because CalcMyGrades does not require accounts and does not receive GPA calculator inputs on its servers (those inputs stay in your browser's local storage on your device), we may not be able to identify information associated with a particular visitor unless you provide enough information for us to verify and locate it.

To exercise applicable privacy rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request" and a description of your request. We respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Eligible users can opt out of personalized advertising in several ways: visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland can decline or withdraw consent through the consent message described above; any user can adjust Google ad personalization and use the industry opt-out tools linked in the Cookies and Tracking section; and users in US states with applicable opt-out rights can submit a request to the privacy email above.

Where applicable law requires recognition of opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control, those signals are handled through the consent and advertising-privacy tooling described above. You can also make any opt-out request directly by emailing [email protected].

California Privacy Notice

This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy for California residents.

Depending on whether CalcMyGrades is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, California residents may have the rights listed in Section 10, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

In the preceding 12 months, the Site may have collected or processed the categories listed in Section 9 and disclosed those categories to the recipient categories listed in Section 8 for the business and commercial purposes listed in Section 7.

We do not sell your GPA calculator inputs. However, our use of advertising, analytics, and affiliate technologies may involve disclosing identifiers, internet activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences to advertising and analytics partners in a way that may be considered "sharing" or "sale" under California law.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16 years old.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under California law unless we provide the required notice and choice.

Children's Privacy

CalcMyGrades is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Children under 13 should not use the Site or submit personal information through the Site. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally required parental consent, we will delete it or take other appropriate action.

Users under 18 should use the Site only with involvement of a parent or guardian where required by applicable law.

Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information to CalcMyGrades can email [email protected] and we will review and address the report.

Data Retention

Calculator inputs are stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device so your work persists between visits. They are not transmitted to or retained on CalcMyGrades servers. You control this data: delete it at any time with a calculator's "Reset calculator" button or by clearing your browser's site data for calcmygrades.com.

Technical logs, advertising records, analytics records, affiliate referral records, fraud-prevention records, and similar operational records may be retained by us or our service providers for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including security, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, ad measurement, affiliate attribution, legal compliance, and business administration.

Third-party advertising, analytics, and affiliate partners may retain information according to their own privacy policies and retention practices.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the Site and information processed through it. However, no website, network, advertising technology, analytics system, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Do not enter sensitive personal information, official academic records, passwords, financial information, government identification numbers, or confidential information into the GPA calculator.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, advertisers, merchants, affiliate partners, educational resources, tools, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, accuracy, security, or availability of third-party websites or services.

Your use of third-party websites and services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

International Users

CalcMyGrades is operated primarily for users in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers, advertising partners, analytics providers, or affiliate partners operate.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, CalcMyGrades uses a Google-certified consent management platform to display a consent message before advertising cookies or personalized advertising technologies are used. Where consent is declined, advertising is limited to non-personalized formats or not shown, in line with applicable law and Google's EU user consent policy. You can change or withdraw your consent choices at any time through the consent message link on the Site.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Site with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after an updated Privacy Policy is posted means you acknowledge the updated policy.
